Help yourself to a healthy dose of the truth...

Dear readers,

My name is Rebecca Elkayam and I have created this simple website to allow people to anonymously seek information about the events leading up to the wrongful termination of my son's membership from the Toowoomba Kart Club in 2018 (NB. my son was 5 years old at the time).

 

Since August 2018, the karting community rumour-mill has been working overtime, sullying my husband’s reputation and making him out to be some sort of a monster. The rumours that have been circulated about my husband and our family are the direct result of false accusations made to police and gross misrepresentations of an incident that took place at the Toowoomba Kart Club in August, 2018. These lies have been spread in members' meetings in a number of clubs and on the grapevine, constituting defamation. 

 

Although we would have preferred to put the truth out there earlier, we were unable to do so while the matter was under police investigation. Not only do I want to clear our family’s name in the public eye, but more importantly, I see it as my moral obligation to speak up and let people know the truth in the hope that I can raise awareness and prevent another family falling victim to similar circumstances. In addition, I am tired of receiving nasty, crude messages, criminal threats and defamatory posts on social media based on these lies. It is now time to put forth the truth and facts.

I have also recently come to the conclusion that the people who have tried to harm us have only committed such acts because they are lacking. It is they who are hurting. It is they who are insecure. It is they who will naturally reap what they have sewn. And I now understand that they are the ones to be pitied. I am not angry anymore. My heart is filled with nothing but pity for them.   

 

Before getting offended, defending those who have actually committed crimes and perpetuating their lies, please take the time to educate yourself by reading the correspondence below. It is shocking, but true.
